The brief
Write down what v1 must do. Have Claude build it. Put it in front of a real person and watch them use it without helping. Then fix what confused them.
Why this matters
This is the loop every company runs: decide, build, test, fix. You’ll reuse it in every module after this one, for your website, your brand and your content. Learn it here on something fun.
Where to start
Ask Claude to interview you about your idea and turn your answers into a short spec. Read it carefully. The spec is where you make decisions, so change anything that isn’t what you want.
Then build from the spec, one piece at a time. After each piece, try it yourself.
A spec is a promise to yourself about what you’re not building yet. The “not doing” list matters as much as the “doing” list.
Keep your project files current
You set up your project files in Module 0. Now make them earn their keep. At the end of every session, ask Claude to update them: log any decision you made and why, tick off and add to-dos, and write a short handoff note saying where you stopped.
If you find yourself explaining the same thing to Claude twice, it belongs in a file.
